On the first Monday of each month.
Western Medical Acupuncture is an adaptation of traditional Chinese acupuncture which incorporates our current understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology and evidence-based medicine.
Katrina offers longer appointments to encourage relaxation, comfort, and settling of the nervous system.
Each session is individualised, often using restorative props, aromatherapy and gentle breathing exercises. Electroacupuncture is also offered.
In Electroacupuncture the needles are connected to a device which transmits a mild electrical current. This increases the intensity of the treatment and may be useful in more stubborn conditions such as osteoarthritis of the knees.
Acupuncture can be used to treat many conditions, especially headaches and migraines, back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain and even menopausal symptoms.

Supporting your nutrition, muscle health and long-term results while using GLP-1 medications such as Wegovy, Ozempic or Mounjaro.
Why nutrition support matters during GLP-1 treatment.
GLP-1 medications can be highly effective for weight management and metabolic health. They can reduce appetite and improving blood sugar regulation, as a result many people find it easier to change their eating habits.
However, eating less does not automatically mean better nourishment.
When appetite drops, so can:
Protein intake
Micronutrient intake
Hydration
Muscle and bone protection
Over time, this can affect energy, strength and long-term weight health.
GLP-1 medication is a powerful tool. However, long-term weight health depends on the foundations built alongside it. This period of reduced appetite offers a real opportunity. You can improve food quality, protect muscle and bone, and establish habits that will support you when treatment changes or ends.
