We offer Coil removals, Coil fittings, implant removals or fittings in a non rushed relaxing setting.

Coil removal: £150

Coil Fit:

We do need to speak to you prior to you having the coil fitted so we have split the appointments up to:

1) Coil fit: Part 1: Pre-Fit Telephone Consultation £55. In This appointment the doctor will ensure that the procedure is right for you, that you have a prescription for the coil and will answer any questions you have as well as giving pre-procedure advice to ensure it goes as smooth as possible.

2) Coil Fit: Part 2: Procedure £195. In This appointment the coil is fitted in a relaxed environment, with the presence of a lovely chaperone to help distract you.

Please Note:

You need a prescription for the coil or implant - this is not included in the price. You can get these from your NHS GP or requesting the private prescription from us.

Contraceptive Implant Services

We offer private contraceptive implant services, including implant insertion, removal and implant change (removal and replacement).

The contraceptive implant is a small, flexible rod placed just under the skin of the upper arm. It releases a hormone to help prevent pregnancy and provides long-lasting contraception.

Please choose the service that is appropriate for you.

Contraceptive Implant Insertion

The cost of the implant is not currently included in this service. We will need to prescribe the implant for you to collect and bring to your appointment.

This service is for patients who would like a new contraceptive implant fitted.

Our service includes

• Consultation and assessment to ensure the implant is suitable for you

• Insertion of the contraceptive implant by a qualified healthcare professional

• Local anaesthetic to keep the procedure as comfortable as possible

• Advice on what to expect following the procedure

• Aftercare advice and information about when your contraception becomes effective

The timing of insertion can affect when the implant becomes effective, so our clinician will discuss your circumstances and advise you accordingly.

Implant insertion: £150

Contraceptive Implant Removal

This service is for patients who wish to have their existing contraceptive implant removed without having a new implant inserted.

Our service includes

• Assessment before the procedure

• Removal of your contraceptive implant

• Local anaesthetic to keep the procedure as comfortable as possible

• Advice on aftercare following the procedure

Please note that once your implant has been removed, you may no longer be protected from pregnancy. If you do not wish to become pregnant, please ensure you have appropriate alternative contraception in place.

If your implant is not easily felt under the skin, has moved, or you have previously been advised that it may be difficult to remove, please contact us before booking, as further assessment or referral may be required.

Contraceptive Implant Change

Removal and Replacement

Important Information

The contraceptive implant is a highly effective method of contraception but does not protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

As with any medical procedure, there are potential risks and side effects. These will be discussed with you during your consultation so that you can make an informed decision.

If you are currently using another form of contraception, please continue to use it as advised until your clinician confirms that you are protected.

We provide a private ring pessary fitting service for women who may benefit from a pessary to help manage symptoms such as pelvic organ prolapse.

A ring pessary is a soft, flexible device that is inserted into the vagina to provide support to the pelvic organs. The clinician will assess your symptoms and discuss whether a ring pessary is suitable for you.

Our service includes

• Consultation and assessment

• Fitting of the ring pessary by a qualified healthcare professional

• The ring pessary itself is included in the cost

• Advice on using and caring for your pessary

• Information about what to expect following fitting

• Advice on follow-up and when to seek further assessment

The clinician will ensure that the pessary is fitted appropriately and comfortably and will discuss any relevant aftercare with you.

Important information

A pessary may not be suitable for everyone, and the most appropriate type and size will depend on your individual circumstances.

You may experience some initial discomfort or increased vaginal discharge following fitting. Your clinician will explain what is normal and advise you on when to contact us if you experience any problems.

Ring pessary fitting: £100

The cost includes both the fitting and the ring pessary.
