Appointments:

  • When the clinic opens you will be able to book your appointments online or by calling up our friendly reception team.

  • All face to face appointments take place at Shropshire Health:

    Please be aware the postcode often takes you to the nearby industrial estate, we are a couple of hundred meters towards Baschurch on the opposite side of the road to the industrial estate.

    We are onsite the beautiful Malt House Barn Wedding Venue.

    All remote audio and video appointments can take place anywhere you wish - even on holiday so long as you are a UK resident!

  • You can easily re-arrange or cancel an appointment within 24 hours of the appointment time.

    You can do this on our online booking system or by calling our friendly receptionists.

    If they appointment is in the next 24 hours you will need to speak to our receptionists.

  • When you select your Clinical appointment type you can also select the duration. Other sessions available will clearly state how long you have.

    Please be mindful in this time your Practitioner will need to complete all actions such as referrals, labelling samples, writing up your notes etc.

  • We recommend that you arrive 10 minutes before your appointment. This allows any necessary pre-checks to be done prior to the start of your consultation.

  • Yes we are lucky to have access to a very large free outdoor surfaced car park right next to the clinic.

    There is also option to enter the clinic through a side door if privacy is key.

  • Yes we do. please free to email or phone us to discuss your personal / client requirements.

    Side entrances or alternative private waiting areas can be pre-booked.

  • We recommend to get the most out of your appointment that you bring a list of any regular medications that you are on and a list of any medical conditions you have along with any other useful information.

    You may be able to access this information on your NHS app.

  • At present it is not possible for us to access your NHS medical records.

  • With your consent we can send a letter to your GP about your attendance and our recommendations.

  • Please note we do not have access to your NHS records - so if the problem is diagnosed in clinic we will be able to provide you with a sick note, but if it requires us to know further details we would request that you bring supporting documentation such as operation notes or discharge summaries- you may find supporting evidence on your NHS app.

  • Yes. For all prescriptions you have a choice of either having your medication delivered to your home address with next day delivery, or choosing to get a token sent to your mobile or email that you can use in a pharmacy of your choice to collect the prescription sooner.

  • Yes. As we do not have access to your NHS records we are unable to prescribe any controlled medications - which include Morphine, tramadol, Fentanyl, diazepam, zopiclone amongst others. If you would like to check please feel free to contact us.

  • We have a list of conditions or complaints that are best suited to remote appointments, please see the table if you scroll down.

    Follow up appointments are generally ok for remote appointments.

    Clearly if you feel you need to or would like to be examined we would recommend that you book a face to face appointment.

    If you are unsure please give our friendly reception team who can advice or check with one of the clinical team.

  • Shropshire Health offers access to in house blood tests, swabs, smears and urine samples.

    If your clinician requires you to have a scan or imaging, you will be given details of where this can be done. We have access to scans nationwide and at the Nuffield.

General

  • Yes, private health clinics in the UK are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC ensures that clinics meet high standards of care, safety, and patient welfare like in the NHS.

    As of May 2025 we are delighted to announce we are now CQC registered and regulated!

  • Advantages include shorter waiting times, longer appointment length, more flexible appointment scheduling, access to a wider range of treatments, personalised care, and more comfortable facilities

  • Yes, the Doctors and Healthcare professionals at Shropshire Health are all fully qualified, DBS checked and registered with their relevant bodies such as the General Medical Council (GMC) for doctors. They all also work within the NHS and have extensive experience in their fields.

  • Yes, you can use both NHS and private health services.

    Many people opt for private consultations or treatments for quicker access and more time for advice - while continuing to use NHS services for other healthcare needs.

    There is no ongoing commitment to use Shropshire Health.

  • We want to hear about any problems, ideas or complaints that you have.

    You can raise this in clinic, email, call or write to us. We will fully investigate all concerns.

Postal Blood Tests:

  • The full kit is provided by Sussex pathology which includes some lovely clear instructions in the pack.

    If you struggle at all our friendly reception team will be happy to talk you through it over the phone.

  • Only upto the point of dispatch. Once dispatched the kits are non refundable even if sealed for health and safety reasons.

  • Your results will be sent directly through to either or both your email and mobile number.

  • You will receive you postal blood tests directly.

    If you would like to discuss these in further details we would recommend that you book an appointment at the clinic with one of our GPs.

  • If order is placed before 11am they should be dispatched the same day otherwise it would be the next working day. These are sent out first class through Royal Mail.

    The turn around test time is indicated on each individual test. This time is from when the sample is received in the lab.

  • It would be advised to do and post these tests Mon - Thursday so that they arrive at the lab on a working day. Samples are currently not processed over the weekend.

  • Try warming your hands up and try again.

    If you are really struggling you can send off what you have and the lab will report as many items as they can with what you have provided.

    The last option is to book in for a blood test at the clinic and we can fill the tubes for you (you would just pay the phlebotomy charge).
